Frenzied Day's End

The
rain
hardly
matters
any more.

Ah,
to collapse
in the cushions.

The piano is being painfully learned

in the hallway
To roll your head back.

Friends volley phrases back and forth

across the room
To let the eyelids slide over the world.

The radiator hums, silence pauses beyond
To let the boundaries of the mind shatter
In Ecstasy.
