Basic: Assemble a "bullet point" timeline (6-10 key benchmarks, one short sentence each) that maps Wilson's trajectory from fascination with the natural world (p.232) to visualizing paths of ionizing particles (Fig. 8.8, p.262). OR
Deeper [using timeline]: Describe the origin of the cloud chamber (Figs. 8.5, 8.8), relating it to Gallison & Assmus's theme (as expressed in their title, and fitting the body of the paper into the introductory and concluding remarks).
OR
Challenging [3815, using above]: Characterize key transitions in the history of the cloud chamber as they might reflect general features of scientific development, perhaps exemplified in other cases we've encountered.
